HELPING 1,800 KIDS

You can have your cake, toss a ring to win wine, and help kids at the same time. It’s all a part of the 37th annual Manteca-Lathrop Boys & Girls Club Telethon taking place Friday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the clubhouse at 545 W. Alameda St. The goal is to raise at least $100,000 to help cover a nearly $600,000 annual budget that provides a safe haven and positive programs for 1,800 youth.

The Friends of Manteca Parks & Recreation Foundation just recently conducted the “Jim Brown Swing for Youth” Benefit Golf Tournament. Proceeds from this event help the Manteca Parks & Recreation Department in supporting youth and teen program scholarships in the Manteca Community.
